I’ve been directing TVC’s, music videos and documentaries for the last 10
years. Before that I’d been a producer and record business executive for
Warner Brothers and Sire bouncing across the Atlantic between London and New
York.

My passion for film making and photography gradually developed to the point
I was able to make it my full time profession and I’ve never looked back.

It was on a visit to Dubai on the cusp of 2000 to see my sister’s family
that I became intrigued by the Middle East. My farther Frank had caught
the bug back in the 70’s and fell in love with Oman and Kuwait while
building the early motorway infrastructure. So it was no surprise I should
follow in his footsteps, as he too was an enthusiastic photographer.

Spending more time in the region I started to shoot selective jobs in the
UAE and Africa. It’s now where I feel most at home and I’m excited to have
shot my first campaign in Mumbai this year for Zain mobile phones. Working
with a DOP from LA, 35mm film (what a luxury) and an amazing local
production team, some who’d been on the Slum Dog Millionaire project. It was
the most exciting shooting experience of my career so far.

In fact 2009 has been my most productive year for work in the UAE with 4
films for the Abu Dhabi Environmental department (shot on the Red) as well
as a documentary for Tashkeel, the arts foundation establish by Latifa
Maktoum.

I’m looking forward to 2010 especially as I’ve had such a great Christmas,
meeting so many new people and am already busy with lots of fresh scripts
and of course more photography.
