Charity: 

The Al Noor Center for children with special needs asked me to spend a week at the beginning of the year photographing every aspect of their organization for a new publicity campaign. Soon after I did the same for Start who help disabled children express themselves through art workshops.

Portraits:

This project never ends although shooting in the UAE can be complicated due to the various religious and social aspects especially with female subjects. Filming corporates gave me access to workers during their grueling days and I hope I’ve captured a little of their dignity and pride.

Reportage:

I’ve been drawn more to shooting abstracts recently as so few people are doing that in the UAE. I try and look for what everybody else takes for granted be it at a Russian friends wedding or a commission for the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Some times I’ll just shoot what looks great for the hell of it!
